DRAFT for owner review before launch. Not legal advice.
Last updated 5 October 2026.
The short version
Play hard, talk trash about the game, not the person. Everyone here is trying to have fun with a couch-co-op feeling over the internet. If someone makes that worse, you can mute them in one press, report them, and we will look into it.
Not allowed
- Harassment and bullying: targeting a player with insults, repeated unwanted contact, following them from game to game, or encouraging others to pile on.
- Hate: slurs or attacks based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability or age.
- Threats: threatening violence or harm, or sharing someone's private information (doxxing).
- Sexual content: sexual comments or harassment, and anything sexual involving minors, which we also report to the authorities.
- Cheating and griefing: modified inputs, exploiting desyncs, or deliberately ruining sessions for others.
- Offensive names: names and vanity names are filtered automatically; trying to get around the filter counts as breaking this rule.
- Spam and scams: advertising, phishing, or asking for passwords or payment details.
- Impersonation: pretending to be another player, BlahPlay staff or a creator.
- False reports: reporting people who did nothing wrong, to get them in trouble.
Your controls
- Strangers start muted. By default you only hear players on your friends list. Anyone else starts muted; unmute them in the session if you want to talk. You can change the default to "everyone" or "nobody" on your account page or in the app's settings.
- Mute anyone, any time. One press mutes a player for you, in this session and every future one. They are not told.
- Block. Blocking also stops them friending you, inviting you or joining your sessions.
- Report. From the session or their profile: pick a reason and, if you like, say what happened. Reporting a player also mutes them for you.
What happens when you report
- Every report is logged with the reason, the time and the session it came from, and is reviewed by a person. The player you report is never told who reported them.
- BlahPlay does not record voice or chat (see the privacy policy), so we rely on what you tell us and on patterns: reports from several different players weigh more than one.
- When three or more different players report someone within 30 days, that player is muted by default for everyone who is not their friend until the reports are reviewed.
- You can send up to 10 reports a day, and one report per player per day.
What we can do
- Warning: the player sees a notice with the reason the next time they open BlahPlay.
- Suspension: 1 to 365 days without the apps (no sessions, friends or voice). The website stays open so they can see why and manage their subscription.
- Ban: permanent. Deleting a banned or suspended account does not reset it: the same Patreon account or email cannot sign up again.
We usually start with a warning, but threats, hate and anything involving minors can lead straight to a ban. Every action is recorded with its reason. Paid time lost to a suspension or ban for breaking these rules is not refunded, unless the law where you live says otherwise.
Appeals
If you think we got it wrong, contact us [contact to be added by the owner] with your member number. A person reviews every appeal, and we lift actions that were mistakes.
